Vivonex Pediatric by Nestlé Health Science is a nutritionally complete, 100% free amino acid elemental formula powder specifically formulated for the nutritional management of children ages 1–13 years with malabsorption and other medical conditions resulting in severely impaired GI function. Clinical Applications

Indicated for pediatric patients (ages 1–13) with severely impaired GI function including malabsorption syndromes, short bowel syndrome, Crohn’s disease, eosinophilic GI disorders, food protein allergies, and post-surgical GI recovery. Suitable for tube feeding or oral use under physician supervision. Can be used to transition from parenteral nutrition (PN).

Mixing Guide (Standard Dilution: 0.8 kcal/mL or 24 kcal/oz)

• 220mL (7.5 fl oz) water + 10 unpacked level scoops (53.35g) → 250mL yield → 200 kcal
• 1100mL (37 fl oz) water + 51 unpacked level scoops (247.35g) → 1250mL yield → 1020 kcal
• Scoop: 4.85g, 20 calories, 3mL displacement

Directions for Use

• Consult your child’s doctor regarding feeding amounts, preparation, and sterilization of water and utensils before preparing.
• Step 1: Pour desired amount of water into clean container (see mixing chart).
• Step 2: Add unpacked level scoops of powder. Use only enclosed scoop.
• Step 3: Cap container and SHAKE WELL. Feed child immediately.
• Oral feeding: Use within 1 hour of opening or discard.
• Tube feeding: May be hung at room temperature up to 4 hours. Do not add medications unless directed by physician.

Storage

• Tightly cover open can and use within 1 month. Store in a cool, dry place. Avoid extreme temperatures.
• If refrigerated after preparation, use within 24 hours. Maintain 35–40°F (2–4°C). Reshake before feeding.
• Do not use microwave to warm formula — serious burns may result.
